Position Overview:
Energy Consultant / Account Executive (ECAE) is a position that performs marketing functions to find and qualify prospects. This position will utilize your professional communication, as well as your marketing and sales skills.
The ECAE calls companies in a defined territory and talks to professionals about their business energy usage. They identify who the most appropriate decision maker is in the company (a business owner, Controller, Treasurer or C-Level) by speaking with multiple company representatives.
The ECAE shall initiate conversation with the decision maker to introduce our products & services, educate the decision maker on what value we have to offer, ask questions of the decision maker and their business and qualifies the prospect. There are also a number of meetings and/or events for the ECAE to attend and actively participate in, such as client meetings, web meetings, tradeshows or networking events.
When the sale is made the ECAE shall act as the primary point of contact for the customer.
Requirements:
• Outbound business-to-business phone marketing or sales experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills such as email and web browsing.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process.
• Ability to be assertive and persuasive without being aggressive.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and think quickly.
• Excellent educator.
• Life-long learner who loves learning about anything.
• Self-reliant and reliable
